Hi, I’m Patrice Banks, engineer,
mechanic, and owner of Girls Auto Clinic. Today, I’m checking out all the smart
technology in the 2017 Ford Edge Titanium. [MUSIC] My first impression of the Ford Edge
is that it’s very sleek and chic. I love the look of it. It’s like a must-have accessory. [LAUGH] So you want to make
sure that it fits you well and that you’re comfortable in it, but you
also feel sexy and you feel empowered, and that’s how it makes me feel. I’m not a technology person, but this
car is kind of winning me over with it. The Lane-Keep assist makes
me feel more secure. If the vehicle drifts out of the lane,
the steering wheel will vibrate and there’s an audible alert. Adaptive cruise control maintains
your following distance even if the car in front
of you slows down.
Again, it makes me feel secure. It makes me feel good,
like me and my buddy here, [LAUGH] are going to our next destination. SYNC 3 is very useful to me. It responses much like a smartphone. Control your climate,
use navigation, and listen to music. I love that everything’s
right here in front of me. The Enhanced Active Park Assist
is going to be great for anybody who’s not used to driving and
parking in the city.
It’s going to find a spot for me. It told us it found a spot. Yikes.
[MUSIC] That is so cool. Look at that, all finished. Right in the middle, equal distance,
12 inches from the curb. It’s perfect. [MUSIC] The rear view camera displays the view
behind you on your SYNC 3 screen when backing out of tight spots, whether
you’re in the city or your home garage. [MUSIC] The front 180-degree camera helps
you see around corners when leaving a parking space. The hands free activated lift gate is
one of my favorite features on the 2017 Ford Edge. When your hands are filled with bags
coming from the store, no need to look for your keys, just kick underneath the car. It’s as easy as one, two, three. Securicode invisible keypad for keyless
entry is great because you can leave your key in your pocket or in your purse,
and be able to get access to your car. [MUSIC] Thank you for checking out the 2017
Ford Edge Titanium with me. For more information, check out the featured blogs or go to Ford.com. [MUSIC] .
